Shade Gardening: Making the Most of Soft Landings Gardens

Program Location:
The West Woods Nature Center
9465 Kinsman Rd
Novelty, OH 44072

Registration:
No registration is required.

Program Description:
Dave Tomashefski of Meadow City Nursery shares how the space beneath our trees is arguably the most important part of the yard when it comes to gardening for wildlife. This is where the vast majority of caterpillars are transforming into adult moths and butterflies. These creatures are not only beautiful; they are crucial to supporting higher levels of the food chain.

In this presentation, learn how to create a garden that beautifies the shady parts of the yard and fosters the life cycle of these organisms at the same time.

In collaboration with Geauga Master Gardeners and Geauga Park District
