Join NPS members and guests on a discovery walk led by Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist and member Lisa K. Schlag as we explore the trails of Veterans Park for signs of spring. Veterans Park is managed by Lake Metroparks and protects the largest inland pond in Lake County and a remnant of original Ohio swamp forest. The asphalt, compacted gravel, and natural surface trails are relatively flat, but be prepared for possible snow, ice, wet, or muddy areas along the trails depending upon early Spring weather conditions.
