Description:
Chris Poling, Portage Park
District Botanist and Naturals Areas Steward will teach
about how to do a plant survey with conservation-oriented survey techniques and general field botany tips
and tricks.
An indoor presentation will be followed by
relocating to do a hike and practice these techniques.
Note:
The field outing will be an easy 1-mile walk on even,
muddy terrain.
For those interested in viewing rare plants and habitat,
Chris Poling will offer an optional additional mile over
similarly even, muddy
terrain.
